My name is Allison Green. My practice is grounded in my New Brunswick homestead – Curious Keep. Here I make textiles, grow food, observe life, concoct remedies, celebrate seasons, promote craft and construct spreadsheets. With all that I do, I aim to demonstrate the worth of curious observation and practices of making.
I am the VP of Craft NB, Content Developer for the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD), Editor for CreatedHere Magazine, and an NB Nature Trust Steward. I earned the Governor General’s Academic Medal for my Textile Design training at NBCCD, and have since received the Nel Oudemans Award and an artsnb Creation Grant. I use my experimental textiles to study insect and plant life – through residencies as well as careful practice in my homestead studio.
